Remote Online Notarization or RON, is the use of audio/visual technology to complete a notarial act when the principal is not in the same physical location as the notary public.
OneNotary is the platform used for all online notarization. It is equipped with the latest encryption technology to ensure proper identification, prevent fraud and protect our customers' sensitive information. We host our online notary service on a securely encrypted platform. OneNotary also allows us to keep both an electronic journal and an audiovisual recording of each notarization.
You must have secure internet with a desktop, laptop or phone service that is equipped with camera and audio capabilities.
Before the appointment, the signee(s) are required to send a scan or photocopy of their I.D. (front and back copy)
Afterwards, the signee(s) will send copies of their documents in PDF form to be signed by the Notary Public.
DOCUMENTS SHOULD NOT BE SIGNED BEFOREHAND BY SIGNEE(S)
You will be notified when to sign during your session.
During your conference the Notary Public shall keep a recording of your online session. The record shall include a recording of the audio-visual conference that is the basis for satisfactory evidence of identity and a notation of the type of identification presented as evidence by the signer if the signer is not personally known to the online notary public.

If your documents require more than one signee, there are two options:

Each signer will make their own separate appointment request and upload a copy of his/her own documents. Upon completion, you will have separately notarized documents to submit to your recipient agency or institution.
